Faculty VIPER Team Request Consent(Required) I understand the program aspects and wish to continue. Before requesting a VIPER team, please confirm that you understand the following aspects of the program. VIPER teams are generally large, with at least 5 students in steady state each semester. Students are not allowed to audit the course. VIPER students are graded in three equally weighted areas: documentation (individual notebook + team-level documentation); teamwork; and contributions. VIPER mentors are encouraged to not solely screen applicants by GPA, interviews, resumes, or letters of recommendations. While this may seem counterintuitive, many years of experience have shown enthusiasm to be the strongest predictor of success in VIPER.
